Our 30+ Favorite Portland Wedding Venues

      The best wedding venues in Portland, Oregon are as diverse and unique as the city itself. Portland and the surrounding areas offer just about anything you could imagine in a wedding venue. From the outdoor venues along the magical Oregon coast, rolling hills of Oregon’s wine country and the majestic Columbia River Gorge, to the eclectic mix of modern, vintage, and rustic in Portland’s indoor venues. We truly have it all here! However, most people don’t realize that just because a venue looks great when you tour it, doesn’t mean it will photograph well – which is why we made this guide!       OUTDOOR WEDDING VENUES

      Outdoor venues in Portland are magical in summer! With Portland’s lush greenery and beautiful backdrops it doesn’t get much better. We have shot at each of the venues on this list many times and chose them for their light and locations. 

      • Langdon Farms – Golf course venue with a rustic vibe. Two different ceremony locations, a rustic barn for the reception, and a great bridal suite for getting ready.
      • Barn Kestrel – In addition to great views, this venue features a Victorian home built in 1887 and an amazing rustic barn built in 1900!
      • Abernethy Center – Abernethy is the only venue in Portland with 4 venues in 1! Two beautiful outdoor garden venues, a cute chapel for  indoor weddings, and an elegant ballroom for receptions.
      • The Water Oasis – Beautiful outdoor pavilion, countryside meadows, lake, cabana, and waterfalls. Lots of diversity in this venue!
      • The Aerie at Eagle Landing – Golf course venue with great views and two distinct ceremony locations. Bonus pond with nearby meadow!
      • The Old Schoolhouse – Built in 1928 this venue has a ton of charm and is great for smaller weddings. Beautifully landscaped grounds with a nearby hazelnut orchard.
      • Wonser Woods Estate – With stunning views of Mt. Hood and rolling hills Wonser Woods is an elegant country venue surrounded by a vineyard and Christmas trees.

      • Laurel Ridge Winery – Killer views of Oregon wine country and a beautiful rustic vibe. They also make great wine!
      • Maysara Winery – Maysara offers one of the largest indoor and outdoor venues in Oregon Wine Country. The stone and wood winery has a rustically sophisticated and majestic feel. 
      • Bridal Veil Lakes – This venue is nestled in an old growth forest of towering fir trees. With the small lake as a ceremony backdrop it has a very unique vibe.
      • Oregon Golf Club – Another golf course venue featuring a beautiful outdoor space with views and a great indoor reception space.
      • McMenamins Edgefield – McMenamins venues are known to be quirky and eclectic and this one definitely showcases that. With several ceremony spaces it’s more of a “village” with a quirky vintage vibe.
      • Cornelius Pass Roadhouse – This six-acre farmstead is a colorful oasis with buildings and barns that date to the mid-1850s.
      • Postlewaits –  A working farm of 80 acres containing orchards and vineyards with a beautifully landscaped park. Multiple ceremony locations under old growth oak trees.

      INDOOR WEDDING VENUES

      Indoor venues in Portland have their own charm and unique qualities and are all quite different from each other. We are lucky to have such diversity in Portland! However, not all are created equal when it comes to light for beautiful photos. The venues on this list all have great light inside and/or good locations close by for us to work our magic! 

      • Sentinel Hotel – One of Portland’s most iconic hotels, the Sentinel has 10 spaces to choose from and they are all unique and different! From the rich dark wood and candle lit feel of the library room, to the jaw dropping grandeur of the Governor Ballroom with it’s massive white pillars, the Sentinel is Portland’s most diverse indoor venue!
      • The Porter Hotel – A newcomer to the Portland scene the Porter has an amazingly cool elegant & modern feel to it. The indoor spaces are great but the crown jewel is it’s rooftop wedding venue. It’s insane!
      • Leftbank Annex – One of Portland’s most industrial feeling indoor venues. The Left bank features exposed beams and brick walls and has 2 levels of industrial goodness. The unique thing about this venue is it’s massive floor to ceiling window which let in tons of natural light. A rare thing for an indoor venue!
      • Opal 28 – If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind, vintage style, fun, intimate, classy venue, look no further. Opal 28 is all of that plus more! It’s got that Portland vibe and is perfect for small weddings.
      • Portland Art Museum – Right in the heart of downtown Portland, the PAM offers a cool urban feel for your wedding and an amazing ballroom for receptions.

      • Castaway – This 1929 warehouse features 14′ foot ceilings, exposed wooden beams, striking sash steel windows and an outside patio with available garden space. Nestled in the Pearl District it’s about as “Portland” as a venue can get!
      • World Forestry Center – This venue features a very cool octagon shaped main space with exposed beams and an outdoor patio area for cocktail hour or a ceremony if the weather is nice. It’s also a short walk to Hoyt Arboretum which is amazing for photos!
      • The Nines – Probably Portland’s most upscale hotel The Nines will definitely add some swagger to your wedding. The rooms are killer and the spaces are amazing – including the rooftop bar!
      • Coopers Hall – Want to get married next to rows of wine barrels? This winery and taproom can give you that and more! Right in downtown Portland this is truly one of the most unique wedding venues in the area. Super cool mix of winery, industrial, and modern feels.
      • The Evergreen – From its historic, restored details to state-of-the art updates, The Evergreen merges new with old, modern with classic, comfort with elegance.

      SALEM WEDDING VENUES

      Wedding venues near Salem, Oregon are close enough to Portland that our favs should definitely be included in this list. There are some stunning venues we love working at in Salem and as a bonus their pricing is a typically lower than those in Portland! If you are willing to make a short drive give these venues a look!

          • Zenith Vineyard – Winery venue with breathtaking views of the vineyards and surrounding hills. Beautiful indoor  space for weddings/receptions and a gorgeous bridal suite. Definitely our favorite winery wedding venue!
          • Log House Garden – This venue features an actual log house for the ceremony space and probably the most beautifully landscaped grounds we’ve seen. We go way back with this venue and it holds a special place in our hearts. LOVE shooting there!
          • Gallon House Farms – This was once a worm farm! What the?! You’d never know it now though. It has rustic charm with a beautiful outdoor pavilion, tall trees, and a killer pond for a backdrop. 
          • Green Villa Barn – A historical building built in 1928. Used as a dance hall during Prohibition, this ageless building gives a rustic charm that is felt as soon as you step inside. The grounds outside are equally spectacular!
          • Abiqua Country Eastate – with its variety of settings, is the ideal outdoor location for your ceremony and reception, with its towering firs, heart-shaped lake and lush lawns bordered with a multitude of flowers.

       

       

      BEND WEDDING VENUES

      Ok, ok wedding venues in Bend, Oregon aren’t exactly super close to Portland, but they are close enough that we just had to list a few of our favorites. We absolutely LOVE shooting there and for being so close to Portland it’s crazy how different the colors, scenery, and overall vibe is. The muted earth tones and rugged landscape in and around Bend is definitely our jam! So if you can move the party 3 hours away definitely check out these Bend venues.

       

          • Black Butte Ranch – Imagine getting married in a grove of Aspen trees with a beautiful lake and the majestic cascade mountain range as your backdrop. The end.
          • Broken Top Club – This is a golf course venue, but unlike the Portland golf course venues, it has the wild ruggedness of central Oregon weaved through it. Amazing photo ops everywhere! 
          • Brasada Ranch – Voted #1 venue in Oregon by Oregon Bride Magazine for the last 3 years it blends modern rustic with the high desert landscape. Features include a rustic barn and panoramic mountain views.
          • Tetherow  – A golf course venue offering views of the Cascade peaks, rustic refinement and a warm and relaxing atmosphere that will complement any special event from black tie to modern casual.
